The Beatles / White Album No. 0054666
Original Mono 1st pressing, catalogue no. PMC 7067/8. 1-1-1-1 Matrix numbers. Dark Apple labels, with no EMI markings. Importantly, the sleeve number is respectably low at 0054666.
This example is complete, MINUS the extremely scarce white paper photo protector, and is a very solid VG+ in all respects. Nice copy!
SLEEVE: The Garrod & Lofthouse top-load sleeve is in solid VG+ condition, near EX. A very nice cream color with minimal aging. Minor corner bumps. Laminate is very good with a few light cracks around the BEATLES embossing, and a few small splits at the spine, as is nearly alway usual. Little to no ringwear- just a hint of LP indentation on sleeve front.
VINYL Side 1: Plays and visually grades a solid, conservative VG+. Light paper marks. Minimal surface noise. Matrix XEX 709-1, stamper codes 5HL.
VINYL Side 2: Plays and visually grades a solid, conservative VG+. Light paper marks. Minimal surface noise. Matrix XEX 710-1, stamper codes 3HH.
VINYL Side 3: Plays and visually grades VG+. One or two non-feelable needle trails and scratches. Light surface noise in quiet passages. Matrix XEX 711-1, stamper codes 3TH.
VINYL Side 4: Plays VG+, visually grades VG. There are about half dozen short needle trails, with the two worst in the last track (Good Night), spilling into the runout. These are again barely-to-not feelable and don't seem to affect play at all on my system. Light surface noise at run-in and quieter passages. Matrix XEX 712-1, stamper codes 4TG. (Note: I've photographed the worst mark on Side 4 in the harshest light...please see all photos with the listing)
+ Nice labels and light spindle wear on all sides.
PHOTOS: Original, glossy, EX condition.
POSTER: Original, VG+ with some wear to folds. No pinholes.
BLACK INNER SLEEVES: Original, VG+
Please feel free to ask any questions. Note I've grouped a few photos together in order to squeeze in as many as possible. All should be large enough to see important details.
