This is a rare complete UK Original of the 'White Album' by The Beatles. This press has the top opening sleeve, dark green Apple labels, ''Sold In The UK' label text, 'Mfd In UK' on all labels, black inner sleeves, all four photographs and the lyric poster.
The vinyl is fabulous, the labels are great and the sleeve is superb. The records are original, the black inners are original.
Cover
The Garrod & lofthouse top opening low numbered (0356353) stereo laminated cover which has flipbacks on the inside of the gatefold is in Very good- condition,it has slightly yellowed with age and has some creasing/opening fold on the spine..no splits.
The laminate has an amazing high gloss and it is clean. The white is still exceptionally bright and the low number and Beatles embossed text are sharp and entirely unworn, just like new. There is a little light ring wear and the some corner and opening edge wear.Bottom corners most worn. The inside images and text are superb. The flipbacks are sealed and complete with no discolouration of any kind. The edges are incredibly firm and unworn.
Poster
The original Garrod & lofthouse poster is in Very good+ condition
The matt double sided poster is in excellent condition. The colours are bold, the whites and highlights are still exceptionally bright. The folds are firm and the edges sharp. The whole poster feels solid and looks completely clean.
Photos
The four photographs are in near mint condition. The colours are vivid and they all have their original just pressed sheen. They look absolutely fabulous, and have never been used.
Original Inner Sleeves
There is a little wear to the opening edges and one has a small tear, otherwise there are in great condition as shown.
Labels
The dark green Apple labels are completely clean. The green is exceptionally bold, and the white is bright. The black text is sharp and there is only the slightest spindle wear.
Records
The records are in Excellent condition. The vinyl on each side has a sensational high gloss, with no whitening of the grooves at all, there are just a couple of the lightest hairlines on each side.
On playing the sound is superb - warm, vibrant and crystal clear.
