Description
Very rare original Japanese 1st pressing of The Beatles (or White Album) released in Japan on the 21/1/1969 (a couple of months after the UK release)
Superb quality stereo pressing on translucent red vinyl and very low number A003714. Savoy “Truffie” error on side 4 label.
Matrix numbers:
Side 1: YEX - 709 1S 2〄
Side 2: YEX - 710 1S2 〄 8M
Side 3: YEX - 711 1S2 〄 8M
Side 4: YEX - 712 1S 14 〄 8M
The vinyl grades EX+. It has a couple of very fine marks only under strong light. Fully tested and with superb audio throughout (as to be expected of these Japanese red vinyl pressings). It plays with beautiful clear audio. No background noise or crackle at all including in spaces between tracks and run ins. I noticed one single light click near the end of blackbird only. Otherwise plays perfectly. EX+ play grade.
The sleeve is VG only due to foxing marks under the laminate (very common with this pressing). Small bump on one corner.
Comes with the original black paper inners (VG) and the poster (VG+) which has a couple of small holes on the folds as shown. I will include 2 brand new black poly lined inners too.
No Obi strip or photos.
Overall this is a superb sounding and rare pressing on translucent red vinyl. The icing on the cake is the very low number in the low 1000s.
