Description
This is an exceptional example of the White Album, 1st uk release in Stereo from 1968 No. 0485949. This album has been carefully owned from new by a family member purchased from a local record shop in Cheshire back in 1968.
Condition and grading:
I have collected records personally for my own collection and DJing for around 32 years now. I am not a trader however very familiar with grading systems used for purchasing vinyl records.
I have done my best to grade accurately based on my experience, giving leniency rather than grade higher.
The photographs are graded as NEAR MINT. They have no signs of handling, are clean with crisp white edges. They are a truly remarkable set.
The poster is graded as NEAR MINT. It is unmarked, no signs of handling, crisp white, no fading. There are a couple of tiny crease lines where the poster has been folded but these are in the correct place and has remained folded and protected in the sleeve for over 50 years.
Media PCS 7067 side 1 VERY GOOD PLUS/ EXCELLENT. There is one visual mark (does not affect play) just less than 2” in length which can be seen in the picture. Plays perfect, clear and rich sound, without any sound imperfection whatsoever.
PCS 7067 side 2 NEAR MiNT plays perfect, clear rich sound and unmarked. No sound imperfection whatsoever.
PCS 7068 side 3 NEAR MINT plays perfect, clear rich sound and unmarked. No sound imperfection whatsoever.
PCS7068 side 4 EXCELLENT . Would grade near mint but being super critical there is a very small mark the size of a thumbnail towards the end of the record, hardly visible to the eye . Play unaffected by this and plays exactly the same as the rest of the album without any sound imperfection.
Media Cover / main outer sleeve - I have graded this VERY GOOD PLUS. The sleeve is glossy and opens out perfectly with no tears or signs of poor handling, there is some slight discolouration on the outer sides which is normal for this age and the top entry points on the sleeve are well in tact with minimal wear. The spine is straight, intact and only one very slight indication of wear on the upper left corner of the outer sleeve.
This album has not been subject to any cigarette smoke and is an outstanding example which any collector would cherish.
Please message me if you require any additional photographs which I will be happy to send. I have stored the media in new clean inner and outer sleeves which will be included.
Can post tracked Royal Mail but at the buyers risk. Note they only compensate up to £500. Buyer welcome to arrange their own collection
