Description
Beatles White Album 2 LP set – all as originally bought in 1968. Lovely clean copy complete with all original features - all in fabulous condition.
Fully laminated top opening No. 0096891 sleeve.
Two dark green Apple label PMC mono LP's with first press -1 -1 -1 -1 matrices.
Complete with original black die-cut inner sleeves, four original photographs and original large double-sided lyric picture poster.
Catalogue No. PMC 7067/8.

SOUND
Both LP's play with a deep rich sound quality throughout with some slight and very occasional mild background static on the odd track. Visually there is the odd hairline but generally the discs retain a nice glossy sheen. The only visual blemish of real note is a mark of less than an inch near the start of Side 1 (at 1 o'clock on final picture) – which manifests itself as a click for a few seconds at the end of Dear Prudence. The only other audible defects of real note are a very transitory click and a minor almost imperceptible jump on I Will and a slight click on Sexie Sadie. Neither in my opinion detract from the superb listening experience – most of the records sound almost unplayed. Overall they rate as EX-
RECORD LABELS.
As can be seen from the photos, all four record labels are in excellent condition with hardly any play signs around the centre of each label. The UK Apple PMC Mono Labels are clean and unmarked. Rate EX
INNER SLEEVES
Both are the original 1968 black inner bags. Both are fully intact with no tears – only some very slight creasing to the bottom edges. Rate EX
SLEEVE.
The top opening (numbered 0096891) Garrod & Lofthouse gate-fold sleeve is firm, clean and white with only some very minor age discolouration to the edges. A small area (less than 1cm) of laminate is missing on the spine edge but otherwise this is fully intact and completely legible. The gate-fold centre and other edges of the sleeve are perfect as is the raised ‘THE BEATLES’ imprint and number on the fully intact clean glossy laminate. Rates EX.
POSTER
The original 1968 poster is in undamaged excellent condition without tears, pin holes or any markings. Rates EX
PHOTOGRAPHS.
The four original 1968 photographs of each Beatle would pass as new. Rate EX+
I try to grade as honestly as possible and endeavour to point out all defects. I use a slight variant on RC gradings (see below) but tend to grade conservatively because, firstly, as a collector myself, I know how frustrating it is to receive ‘over-graded’ items and, secondly, I am having a clearout over the coming months (years?) and wish to maintain and develop a good reputation. I never grade a used record as Mint as that is a contradiction in terms. All of my records have been play tested.
All records have been cleaned with a Moth machine.
I will endeavour to post all items within 2 working days of Paypal payment (or cheque clearing). I use suitably robust and well-protected packaging. Given the value of this double album I will be using signed for services.
While I describe items as honestly and accurately as I can (and use photos of the actual items), a refund is guaranteed if you are not satisfied with the items as described. This has not been necessary to date and my feedback has been 100% positive.

Record Collector Grading System:
M = Mint: Never been played or item still sealed. Cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet, booklet or poster (ie contents) are in perfect condition.
Ex = Excellent: Shows some signs of being played but there is very little lessening in sound quality. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VG = Very Good: Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on cover or contents, without any major defects.
Gd = Good: Sound quality has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Mild scratches. Cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc.
Fair: Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
Poor: Will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise etc. Cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
I also use Plus (+) or Minus (-) to allow for items that fall between the above grades.
