Description

This is an ORIGINAL 1973 release of The Beatles iconic double album, widely referred to as 'The White Album' but in fact is eponymous, that is to say simply titled 'The Beatles'. The album has its original colour poster with lyrics (which is in 'Very Good/+' condition, but is missing the photographs of the four band members that were originally included.

This particular issue is slightly unusual because manufacturing was contracted to Pathe Marconi for the UK market from 1973-1975 while the EMI-Hayes plant was closed for reconstruction. The labels clearly state 'Made in France by Pathe Marconi EMI'

The two LPs are in 'Very Good' condition with a few marks and light surface scratches. The gatefold cover is in 'Fair' condition, but has a 9 cm (3.5 inch) tear across the front surface (now larger than shown in my photographs), and the front and rear surfaces have very noticeable marks from being stored next to other albums. There is a mark on the inside where a sticker has been partly removed. The plain paper inner sleeves are probably not original, but are both in 'Good' condition (Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide used)
