Original true 1st pressing copy pressed at the Scranton pressing plant in Pennsylvania with the 1st print Apple Records labels containing the Capitol Records logo and all of the 6 spelling misprints on Side 1, 2 and 4. The seventh misprint “Rocky Racoon” is present on all of the pressings up until 1995 when the album was reissued. Early 1st day print cover that was among the first batch covers containing the numbers beginning with A1380001 to about A2010000 with the leading “A” prefix preceding the number, which Capitol Records assigned to its Scranton, Pennsylvania pressing plant. The laminated glossy gatefold cover contains the embossed "The Beatles" banner and “A1673462” number in the lower right-hand corner on the front. The cover remains in its original factory shrink wrap and what’s located underneath it is one of the all time rarest items, a neon red Day-Glo banner sticker. The Day-Glo Color Corp, also known as “Day-Glo”, was founded in 1946 and was the one to invent the black-light and daylight fluorescent paints and pigments. The Day-Glo pigments became popular in the 60s with their extensive use in psychedelic art. The original large 2½" x 9" neon red Day-Glo sticker promotes the new Beatles album and indicates the presence of memorabilia inside. Unlike the other hype stickers that could be found on this issue, this Day-Glo banner sticker doesn’t have the song titles. It was very hard to convey the true color of this original psychedelic neon Day-Glo sticker and it seems to us that we’ve been able to do that, please see the photos. The psychedelic color of the sticker and its bold print perfectly reflect the magnificent atmosphere of the 60s. Capitol Records began its cooperation with the Day-Glo corporation when promoting the “brand new group from England” ordering the design and execution of the legendary neon orange “The Beatles Are Here!” psychedelic promotional banner in 1964. This copy is an amazing example of the true 1st pressing of The Beatles album in outstanding condition featuring the misprint labels containing all of the 7 misprint errors and this incredibly rare hype sticker. The full set of promotional extra materials coming with this copy includes a large double-sided 23" x 34" color poster featuring a rights statement on the lyrics side with the second line of the statement reading "© Apple Records," Four 8" x 10" portrait photos, one of each Beatle, containing the "Printed in USA" logo in the lower left-hand corner, and a 8" x 10" green separator sheet. These blank sheets of paper of different colors were used to separate the sets of photos at the factory. True 1st misprint 1½” pressing ring Apple Records SWBO-101 catalog number labels with the Capitol Records logo and all of the 7 misprint errors on sides 1,2 and 4 which were corrected on later copies of the album. The thick glossy vinyl pressed by the Capitol Records Scranton, PA pressing plant contains the first matrix numbers in the runout groove including the machine-stamped “IAM in a triangle” plant identifier: Side 1 - SWBO 1-101-J46 IAM; Side 2 - SWBO-2-101-J45#3 IAM; Side 3 - SWBO 3-101-J47 IAM; Side 4 - SWBO 4 - 101-J44 IAM. The album comes with the original Capitol Records white inner sleeves.

I grade the cover, the full set of memorabilia and the original inner sleeves as Near Mint Minus. The cover is in impeccable condition with the shrink wrap being fully intact without having any splits, tears or missing pieces. The vinyl is graded as Excellent for Side 1, Near Mint Minus for Side 2, Near Mint Minus for Side 3 and Excellent Minus for Side 4. All of the sides of the vinyl retain their beautiful factory gloss with only just a few very light barely visible marks and scuffs from the inner sleeve on Side 1 and 4. The very clean labels are in pristine condition without having any wear, scuffs or spindle marks.
