Although released on Nov 22, 1968, EMI incredibly did not begin mass-producing the album until the week prior.  This was because Garrod & Lofthouse experienced album cover production delays due to its complex design as demanded by the Beatles. Covers finally arrived at EMI in batches of 20,000 daily. That would place this specific copy as having been generated on, or very near, Day 2.  It is most certainly one of the earliest made.

Cover: EX++ Original Garrod & Lofthouse Int'l. 'top-loader' fully laminated gatefold. It is made with thick heavier cardboard found only on the first albums. The inside GF fold-over edges are perfect. It is extremely clean, with just 2 small age dots on the rear, and a miniscule bump at the top corner.  The lamination is 100% secure.  There are no stains, creases, splits, tears, writing, shelf or ring wear to be found.
This cover is in gorgeous condition. Allowing for its age, it would otherwise grade a solid 'NM-'.  Guaranteed to please.
Vinyl: VG++ Thick vinyl. Surface lines and a couple of short scratches on Sides 3 & 4. 
Labels: EX Apple labels have the proper 'Sold In U.K.' text, and all other text consistent with 1st pressings. No 'EMI' credits. Super clean with a few spindle marks.  
Playback: EX Side 1: NM  Side 2: NM    Side 3: VG+  Side 4: EX+
Sides 3 & 4 have some mild surface noise. Tics are heard during Sexy Sadie, Long Time, and Good Night. Sides 1 & 2 play beautifully with surface noise at a bare minimum. 
Inners: EX Original black inners. No splits or tears.
