Description
The Beatles - White Album Apple PCS 7067/7068
The vinyl on sides 1 & 2 retain their beautiful original sheen. Both sides show some minor sleeve removal marks/scuffs. Would grade as EX
Side one Matrix number YEX 709-1. Stampers OH & 4
Side two Matrix number YEX 710-1. Stampers GGD & 1
The labels on both sides show a few spindle marks and would grade as EX+
The vinyl on sides 3 & 4 retains the beautiful original sheen. Both sides show some minor sleeve removal marks. Would grade as EX
Side three Matrix number YEX 711-1. Stampers DDG & 4
Side four Matrix number YEX 712-1. Stampers MT & 0?
The labels on both sides show a few spindle marks. Would grade as EX
The gatefold top opening sleeve is in unbelievable condition. It is a strong gatefold with little or no evidence of creasing. Very slight browning down the left hand side of the front cover. The number 0013361 and the embossed "Beatles" are both clear. One of the best I have seen without doubt. Would grade easily as EX+
Please note that there is no "stereo" written on the back cover but this does not mean that this is not a genuine pairing.
Beatles expert Bruce Spizer in his recent book "Beatles for Sale on Parlophone Records" comments on the numbering system for mono and stereo albums
"Although some stereo discs have been found in covers with numbers below 100,000, these covers are actually mono covers without the "stereo" designation on the back".
This album came from a relative who assures me that he bought this complete in 1968.
The four pictures are in beautiful condition and would grade as NM
The black inner sleeves are complete and have some minor creasing, but very nice. Would grade as EX
There is no poster with this album.
As stated this is a fantastic stereo original with a very low number.
I have no facility to play grade these records.
