Description
For sale is a very rare genuine and complete 1st Stereo issue of The Beatles ‘White Album’ in all round great condition . Labels do not have ‘An EMI Recording’ text.
The original top loader gatefold sleeve in at least VG+ condition with only minor spine wear as an issue (most copies available have much more damage to spine, but the writing is still readable on this copy).
Original black inner sleeves, notoriously fragile, are in VG+ condition.
Original photos all present and in excellent condition. They even come with the original and incredibly rare paper photo divider (as seen in listing photo).
Original poster in excellent condition.
The records are in great condition.
Record 1 side 1 is visually and sonically excellent. 4AL stamper. Plays with hardly a crackle and definitely no clicks sticks or jumps. Side 2 visually VG+, with a couple of scuffs and hairlines visible under bright light, but sonically plays as excellent. 4MR stamper
Record 2 side 1 is visually VG+, with sleeve removal marks, but again plays excellently as with record 1. Early 2P stamper. Side 2 is visually and sonically excellent. Stamper is G?(1) OA, so very early.
Labels are excellent and most importantly do not have the ‘An EMI Recording’ text on any of them. Only the very earliest copies did not have the EMI text - the error was very soon corrected.
UK 1st Stereo Press LP - No EMI 1-1-1-1 VG+/EX. Complete. Condition is Used. Dispatched with Royal Mail 1st Class.
Therefore this is an overall excellent condition very early and totally complete copy of this iconic double album.
