Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest: Play Grade Very Good (Very sharp and clear sound, only very slight audible crackle throughout the tracks, only very slight background noise in between tracks, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, some hiss on track 1 at the very start of side 2 and also some loud noticeable audible pops/clicks throughout the whole first song on side 2 and partially into the second song on side 2. The rest of both records do not suffer from any loud pops or clicks. VG sound quality (Playtested 30th June 2007)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Disc 1: Very Good Minus (Looks very well played on the first disc with quite a number of light superficial hairline surface marks covering the first record, there are also 3 or 4 more feelable light scratches/marks in total on the first record and one of these marks affects playback by causing some slight hiss at the start of track 1 side 2 and some audible pops/clicks throughout the whole of the first song on side 2 and partially into the second song on side 2, there is also some light scuffing on the records surface but this is superficial and does not affect playback in anyway there a quite a lot of spindle marks on the labels on the first record which indicates numerous plays but the labels have no rips or tears on them, there is just slight wear around the spindle holes of the first record but nothing serious, the labels do not have any writing on them)

Vinyl Visual Grade: Disc 2: Very Good ++ (Looks well played with some light superficial hairline surface marks covering the second record but they are definitely not overpowering and are reasonably scarce, there are no noticeable feelable raised scratches/marks on the second record though, there is no serious scuffing to the records surface on the 2nd record and there are not as many spindle marks on the labels on the second record which indicates that it has been played less than the first record and highlights the fact that the second record is of a higher grade, the labels have no rips or tears on them, there is very little wear around the spindle holes of the second record, the labels do not have any writing on them)

Album Cover Grade: Very Good + (no major creases to the front G/F sleeve corners apart from a slight top left corner crease, no major creasing to the rear G/F sleeve corners apart from a slight bottom left crease and a very slight bottom right corner crease, on the inside of the G/F sleeve there is just slight creasing on the left hand side top and bottom corners, no spine splits or bottom edge splits, the spine just suffers from some slight laminate lifting and peeling here and there, there is a slight far right edge split of 2cm but you can hardly tell, it is just off the centre back edge, no serious rips or tears in the sleeve, there is slight corner rubbing on all 4 corners, there is some ringwear on the front and back which is noticeable, no serious laminate lifting or laminate peeling apart from the slight 2cm bit on the top left front sleeve, a reasonably white sleeve with just slight discolouration and staining, overall a decent sleeve)

Inner Sleeves Grade: Very Good + (There is a 2cm edge seam split on one inner sleeve the other inner sleeve is ok though)

Poster Grade: Very Good + (The poster has no rips or tears in it, there are no serious unwanted creases or pieces missing from the poster, the poster has never been hung as there are no pin holes, the poster is very clean with only a tiny 2cm bit of ink from a pen next to the title of glass onion)

Colour Photos Grade: Excellent (There are no major creases to all 4 pics apart from a slight top left crease on Lennon, there are no tears or rips in any of the 4 pics, they have never been on display so there are no pin holes from drawing pins or there is no sellotape marks etc. All 4 pics are in great condition)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
