Description
The Beatles White Album vinyl, US first press, complete, with rare misprints. It's No A1578489.
This is the American version of the legendary album, with four photos and poster. Not easy to get in the UK!
When this album was first made it had lots of errors across the two discs. This has them on side 1 and 2, but not sides 3 and 4 - so an early crossover which was correcting them. The side 1 and 2 errors (seen here) are: Obladi Oblada (without hyphens), Bungalow Bill (should have 'The Continuing Story Of'), and Rocky Racoon (should be Raccoon with two cs).
Overall, I'd say the condition is average - a cool novelty rather than a collection showpiece. it is 'well loved.'
I'll try to give as much honest detail as possible:
The cover is average, a bit of wear and tear including light stains and a few splits, including one large one across the top - they're side opening. This could probably be easily repaired. But it stills holds together well. The spine is clear and readable.
The photos are good, as is the poster - no rips or tears.
The disc labels are all good. Visually, the vinyl has various marks and scuffs - nothing too drastic but they are there. This, sadly, is reflected in playback which does jump a number of times (I'm sorry - I can't recall when. I haven't played it for years and don'y now have the capacity).
Inner sleeves are decent - just age related wear. Note - the American version didn't have black inners, only plain white.
Overall this is not perfect, average probably, but still cool and unusual with the errors. A piece of music history.
Please note postage quoted is for the UK. Anywhere else and it will change.
Thanks for looking.
