Today I have for sale:
The Beatles - With the Beatles
Japanese first press on red everclean wax from 1966. Like the US Capitol albums, the first few Beatles albums were altered. However, a few years later, Odeon reissued the first two original UK albums in Japan with the same titles and songs, albeit with in shuffled track order.
This edition also comes with a stapled booklet in the gatefold with some great pictures not found in other editions.
The jacket for this has noticeable wear along the edges and one leaf in the booklet is detached from the staples, but otherwise intact. VG at best.
The vinyl has significant light scuffs on side 1 and light scratches on side 2. It played without too much noise, surprisingly, but my new cartridge has been more forgiving of imperfections than my last. More noticeable is the disc is pretty warped. My turntable still plays it, but I cannot guarantee it would play with all tonearms, especially those with lower mass. I think this would be a good candidate for a vinyl flatten machine, however. As is, G at best.
I think this would be a copy for a collector looking to fill out a set of original Japanese pressings, but not really needing to play the disc much or at all.
All records are from my personal collection or duplicates I have acquired. I am not a professional grader or seller, but I have tried to grade these items conservatively and provide pictures so that you know exactly what you are getting and are satisfied by your purchase rather than disappointed. All records are visually graded unless otherwise noted above.
All records will be mailed in appropriate mailers and records in sleeves outside jackets to help prevent seam splits in transport. If you would like me to open a sealed record before mailing so I can help prevent seam splits, please let me know and I will be happy to oblige. I will not open sealed records unless you specifically ask me before shipping.
Payment is due within three days of auction close. I will combine shipping at a rate of $1.50 per lp ($3 for 2 lp album, etc.). I will ship packages within two business days of received payment.
