The Beatles' With the Beatles captures the group during the remarkable early surge of Beatlemania. Originally released in 1963, their second UK album combines Lennon-McCartney originals with selections from the American R&B and rock and roll repertoire that shaped the band's early sound. Highlights include "All My Loving," "It Won't Be Long," "Please Mister Postman," "Roll Over Beethoven," and George Harrison's first recorded composition, "Don't Bother Me."
This sealed 1979 Japanese pressing was issued by Apple Records/Toshiba EMI as catalog number EAS-80551. It retains its original obi and remains unopened, with the record never removed or played. The Japanese presentation of Robert Freeman's striking black-and-white cover makes this an especially attractive edition of one of the defining albums from the Beatles' early career.
