Description

This is The Beatles studio album, 'With The Beatles'.

 

This is an original UK 1st Pressing produced in 1963 which features the sought-after yellow and black Parlophone labels.

 

Cat: PMC 1206 (Mono)

Matrix: XEX 447 - 7N, XEX 448 - 7N

 

Many vinyl records are mis-sold on eBay. There are several details which identify this copy as a true 1st pressing. They are:

 

  • Front side laminated Garrod & Lofthouse flipback sleeve.
  • Medium sized MONO on the front of the sleeve.
  • Black labels with yellow Parlophone logo.
  • ‘Recording first published 1963’ printed over two lines.
  • ‘PMC 1206’ catalogue number.
  • The title of B3 is given as 'You Really Gotta (instead of 'Got A' Hold On Me')
  • Matrix numbers XEX 447 - 7N (side 1) and XEX 448 - 7N (side 2).

 

Vinyl: Excellent

 

The vinyl is in great visual condition with super playback.

The vinyl surface retains the original gloss sheen.

The labels are bright and have minimal spindle wear.

There are subtle hairline marks which can be picked up in bright light.

The audio on both sides is crisp and with very little background crackle. A real depth to the tone on this first pressing with no skips or jumps.

Overall, it is a pleasurable listening experience.

 

Sleeve: Very Good+

 

The sleeve is in very good condition - some opening edgewear pictured.

The laminated front is very clean, the rear is not laminated – please see pics.

The corners, and spine are in very good condition.

There is no writing present anywhere on the sleeve.

 

Inner Sleeve: Good

 

The inner sleeve is the original polythene lined ‘protect your records’ Emitex copy. It is open on two edges - please see final pic.

 

 

I am also listing a first pressing of ‘A Hard Days Night’. I will combine postage costs – you will only pay once for postage.

ADDENDUM.

I has been brought to my attention that this is in fact a SECOND pressing from 1963. This is because..


The first pressing had the *gotta* spelling on the record label as well as the sleeve & it also had an incorrect ‘Jobete’ songwriting credit for Money.

This one has the correct Dominion credit.


Sorry for the confusion. It’s too late for me to change the description, but it’s still the great sounding record from 1963!
