FIRST ‘-1’ MATRICES, on both sides, **WITH** Sold in UK label text, and Mfd in U.K.on both record labels.
This Yellow Submarine Album, also The Beatles (mono) 0088454 numbered White Album, and the SGT Pepper mono Beatles Album listed, are from the same collection, and have been very well cared for by the previous collector.
This album was issued as the Soundtrack album for the cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’although does not include some of the tracks that were featured in the film. Yellow Submarine spent just two weeks at the No 3 position. At the same time The Beatles White Album was still at No 1.
Album Description and Condition:
This album dates back to 1969 and was released on the 17th January 1969, and is on the traditional Green & White Apple Label with the ‘Apple Records’ label rim, with ‘Mfd in UK’ and WITH ‘Sold in UK….’ label text to both record labels.
Both record labels are in SUPERB Mint Minus condition. A fine set of UNDAMAGED record labels, very clear print, showing only faint centre spindle lines to the side 2 label, side 1 has just 2 centre spindle lines.
Both sides of the glossy Heavyweight Vinyl Disc are in beautiful Mint Minus condition, ultra GLOSSY Vinyl Surfaces, with just one or two short light surface hairlines, there are no deep scratches or scuffs.
The album plays SUPERBLY throughout the tracks - A CLEAR, MONO sound quality, the sound quality of this album is great, there are no skips, clicks, or pops, this album has a superb sound quality throughout all of the tracks.
Side 1 matrix: XEX 715-1 and Side 2 XEX 716-1.
Side 1 stampers: 1 O and Side 2: 1 A.
The album comes in it’s ORIGINAL Matt Black Die Cut inner bag which is in CLEAN Excellent Plus condition, there are NO seam splits, just a little mild creasing.
The Vinyl LP is housed in it’s ORIGINAL, GLOSSY, Front LAMINATED Garrod & Lofthouse Patented sleeve, with two Horizontal **RED LINES** either side of the sleeve notes.
The sleeve is a beautiful example in Near Mint condition. The glossy front panel still retains its gloss shine, with the mildest of record impression, and a few small manufacturing laminate pinches.
The reverse panel of the sleeve is superb, clean and white, showing only very minor age toning to the flipbacks, the edges and the spine edge are fine and undamaged, and the wording to the spine edge is CLEARLY printed and reads ‘The Beatles Yellow Submarine’.
A beautiful example of this very collectible Beatles Apple first Issue 1969 rare mono vinyl LP.
