Description
The Beatles YESTERDAY AND TODAY rare mono promo lp. Capitol Records T 2553. Monaural.
Great condition vinyl, especially for an early Capitol mono promo pressing. I believe the "3" next to the RIAA logo on the back cover bottom right indicates that the pressing plant for this record was Scranton, PA.
PLAY TESTED: Vinyl Strong VG+/Jacket VG-.
VINYL: The vinyl is shiny & glossy & looks great (see photos) with some marks visible when held under a light. I have play tested this entire LP and would grade it a strong VG+. The sound is very clean; it is even relatively quiet between tracks, so I grade the vinyl play back condition as a strong VG+.
JACKET: I would rate the jacket VG- overall. The front cover still has good bright color but the spine and bottom have long seam splits. There is also some tape, writing in pen near the track lists, and general jacket wear (Please see all photos.)
But the great part about this jacket is that it has the early drilled/hole punched PROMO stamp through the upper right hand corner of the front cover as well as through the Capitol orange paper inner sleeve. (Actually, the jacket is missing the last "O" so technically it reads "PROM".) It is my understanding that the first trunk cover mono promo copies had this "drilled" PROMO marking and that later promo reissues had a "gold stamp" promo designation. Please also note that the orange inner sleeve also has some seam splits.
I'll pack securely in a proper lp mailer box, and ship quick, by the next business day after payment, via USPS Media Mail. Shipping charge includes the cost for insuring the package and the LP mailer.
