Original Yellow Submarine promotional set featuring a factory sealed promotional copy of the Yellow Submarine album and an original 1968 set of vintage postcards. Very early 1st pressing promotional Capitol Records copy with a "FREE" punch. Commercial factory sealed cardboard cover doesn't have any reference to Apple Records or EMI / Capitol logo on the back. The promotional album comes with a set of cardboard postcards manufactured by Poster Prints, USA in Norristown, PA under the license from King Features Syndicate - Subafilms Ltd, which was being sold all across the US in 1968 and 1969! The KFS is a legendary print syndication company that for more than 100 years has been distributing comic books, editorial cartoons and games. Thick cardboard two-sided postcards have an image and description of the numerous characters from the Yellow Submarine animated film on the front. The back side of the postcards contains a blank field for writing text along with the printed character name, "©King Features Syndicate - Subafilms Ltd" copyright, manufacturer and its address. Original cardboard postcards printed in 1968 measure 8' tall and 5' wide. It's impossible to find these separately not to even mention a set! The postcards are in a great vintage condition displaying only some light signs of use. All of the postcards retain its beautiful colors with the title postcard having a couple of tiny holes and two other postcards having a little bit of wear on the back where the target logo is which was caused by the removal of a store price tag. The factory sealed album is in Mint condition only having some light age discoloration and yellowing along the mouth on the back. Superb collector's set which is more than 50 years old. You'll also find the other Beatles memorabilia and rare LPs currently listed at my auction. Make sure to read my policy concerning the international bidders below.
