Description
The Beatles- Yellow Submarine- Early UK Stereo Press from 1969.
For sale is what I believe to be a second Stereo press of this record, published in the UK in January 1969, I have identified the
following:
Dark green label with an image of an apple on side 1 and sliced apple on side 2
. Label have “An E.M.I. Recording” text on two lines and “Sold In U.K. subject to
resale price conditions, see price lists” text.
Publishing year printed with small copyright symbol (p).
Two red lines separating the text on the reverse of the sleeve.
The flipback sleeve has "Garrod and Lofthouse" marks, with Patent No. 643.895 (first press apparently doesn't have this)
The sleeve is in Very Good condition. The laminated sleeve has creases, and there is noticeable wear to the opening of the sleeve.
There is also some staining to the reverse of the sleeve.
The record is in Very Good condition. There are several light surface marks, perhaps more on Side 2, but there are no deep marks
or scratches to note- both labels are pretty clean.
Matrix numbers: Side 1: YEX 715-1 (1 L); Side 2: YEX 716-1 (1 H)
The record will be sent OUT of the sleeve so to protect the record through transit. I will have the record sent out within 24 hours of cleared payment, please ensure this is done within 3 days of the auction ending- I've recently had trouble with non paying bidders, so the record WILL be relisted if payment is not made within this timeframe.
