Original 1st US Apple Records pressing of The Beatles “Yellow Submarine” released on January 13, 1969 and was the band’s 17th album that came out in the US. This factory sealed copy contains the music from the animated film of the same name that was released in July 1968. “Yellow Submarine” could also be fully considered a George Martin’s album as Side 2 contains the music he composed for the film. The record is in impeccable factory sealed condition with the fully intact shrink containing two factory breathe holes, one on each side of the album, and not having any splits, tears or missing pieces. The front cover contains a record store “Factory Sealed For Your Protection” sticker. Under the detailed inspection another sticker could be seen underneath this yellow sticker. The text is visible partially, but it’s enough to state that this a promotional sticker reading “Demo Not For Sale”. This copy comes from a large thematic vintage collection featuring various original “Yellow Submarine” memorabilia. We’ve included two of these items into this listing, one of which is the original 1968 calendar for the upcoming 1969 year. The 24-page illustrated calendar contains windows for notes, the birthday of each Beatles along with the holidays and many stills with the film’s artwork. The last page of the calendar contains the credits at the bottom reading “©1968 by King Features-Subafilms, Ltd. Produced in the U.S.A. by Western Publishing Company, Inc. Published by Golden Press, New York, N.Y.” The calendar comes with the original 12¾” x 13” kraft paper mailer envelope with an “From / To” address form and the submarine artwork on the front and a large crimson “The Beatles’ 1969 Calendar Yellow Submarine” banner on the back flap.  The second item is another example of rare memorabilia from the collection, which is the original 1969 unused “Yellow Submarine” 120-page notebook with a hardcover. The credits at the bottom of the front cover read “Vernon Royal King Features Syndicate Suba Films Lts. 1-69-7”.

We grade the album as Mint. All of the cover's corners are perfectly sharp, perhaps only with the exception of the bottom right corner which has a very light and barely noticeable ding. The fully intact shrink wrap contains the original breathe holes, one on each side of the album. Both, the original calendar and notebook are in great vintage condition, including the envelope which is very hard to find. All of the pages of the calendar are intact just having some small writing in a few places with the notebook being completely unused.
