Beatles -- Yesterday And Today Capitol ST2553 This is the 1966 first pressing coming out of the Capitol Scranton, PA plant. (has the very tiny triangle with the I AM words inside stamped on runout ... and has all the other "indicia" of a first pressing done at the Capitol Scranton plant.) At least half of the tracks on this album became huge huge hits.
The condition of the record (both the vinyl and the cover) is discussed extensively above. If I had to "grade" the vinyl it would probably be somewhere between VG and VG++/Exc - (a good portion of the vinyl is really quite good) -- there are numerous superficial "defects" visible to the eye upon inspection -- but none seem to have reached to the depth required to affect the grooves significantly -- appears to have been a "deep groove pressing". Only tracks 2,3 have a few pops and the 1st half of track 5 has a crackle or two. The rest of the recordoing is very clean. I don't just do a quick visual inspection -- I actually listen to large chunks of every track played on a fairly "average" turntable setup and listen through a medium quality stereo system.
