Description
You're bidding on a rare, truly minty LP of The Beatles Yesterday And Today (Capitol ST 2553 STEREO; black rainbow label). This is a Second State Butcher Cover (Trunk cover pasted over original Butcher cover). You can see the faint outline of Ringo's black shirt to the upper right of the steamer trunk and Ringo's elbow. Please note that this stereo version is about 5 to 10 times rarer than the mono version. Cover is in mint condition, the white area is as white as it can be with almost no yellowing; you will have to find a new sealed one to outdo this. There is a digit 2 (for East Coast) next to RIAA symbol at lower right hand corner of back cover. Record: mint and shinny. Original Capitol '66 inner sleeve included (though one corner has the usual fold that is all so common.) I'm the original owner of this classic, high collectable record. I bought it new in 1966. Played only a couple of times (no more than 5 if I can remember correctly). Shrink-wrap was removed and replaced with loose plastic sleeve since day one. This way the tightening effect created by the cellophane will not be causing record warp. It has been stored correctly in an controlled environment for the past 45 years. All corners are in excellent condition. Record is flat and has no scratches. Record matrix numbers: side1: ST1-2553-A5 *2 / side2: ST2-2553-A5 . Super hard to find another in this perfect condition; it even retains some of the original new record smell. It will be packed carefully for shipping and recipient will required to sign for it. Check out my feedback score; you won't be disappointed.
