The Beatles Yesterday And Today LP RARE 1971 Red Label & Purple Target USA
The condition of the Vinyl is VG due to surface marks and some lighter scratches throughout. There are some noticeable marks that appear will cause some pops or clicks, but nothing that is deep enough to cause any skips or jumps
The label is bright red and colorful, for some reason the pictures appear to make it seem lighter in color, I believe this is due to eBay compressing the photo files.

The cover is also in VG condition, and is actually really nice and still in the original shrink. The grading drops the condition due to a 3 inch seem split on spine and a 4 inch seam split on the top of the album.
The story behind this label:
In May of 1971 Capitol Records began issuing albums on the newly designed Red label variation. The first two Beatles albums Capitol received pressing orders for were "Revolver" and "Yesterday"...And Today". Almost immediately the pressing of these two albums abruptly ended when Apple Records announced that they were going to re-issue all Beatles albums on their label. At that point there were an unknown number of "Revolver" pressed and probably only about 100 of Y&T pressed. The actual pressing numbers for these two albums is still a mystery to this day!
What IS known is that in May of 1971 Capitol Records unintentionally created an extreme rarity by halting the pressing of "Yesterday"... And Today" in mere double digit numbers.
The first documented copy of this Y&T gem was discovered in 2006 and is listed in Frank Daniels and Perry Cox' Price Guide, published by Bruce Spizer. Amazingly,this happened 35 years after the pressing date!
