The Beatles Yesterday And Today Trunk Cover Mono 1966 Scranton Press VG.
For auction is a great listeners copy of The Beatles, Yesterday And Today. This 1966 album was released in North America only and included tracks that already appeared on the UK versions of Help! and Rubber Soul and would be featured on the upcoming Revolver. Two songs, “Day Tripper” and “We Can Work It Out”, were only released as singles up to this point and made there only album appearance on this record. Of course the album became famous for its initial “butcher cover” that caused controversy. This copy is a Mono 1st Scranton pressing of the alternate cover of the band sitting in a trunk that was also released in 1966.
The vinyl is play graded VG+. A few extremely light surface marks but nothing deep. Plays with the faintest of background noise if any that is never overwhelming and mostly barely noticeable. No skips or jumps and is super clean! Please see pics.
Cover is also in VG+ condition. Minor shelf wear on corners and seams but no splits. Title is legible. Stains on front and back. Very solid! Original Capitol Records inner is in VG- condition. Has a 6 inch split in bottom seam so a white generic inner is included to protect vinyl. Please see pics.
