In this auction:

• “YESTERDAY AND TODAY” LP by THE BEATLES

• This LP is Capitol Records ST 2553.

• It LP was issued June 20, 1966.

• This LP is a STEREO LP.

• In fact, this is a FIRST PRESSING STEREO “TRUNK COVER” of “Yesterday And Today”.

• The “Trunk Cover” is, of course, the second cover for the “Yesterday and Today” LP that replaced the cover known as the “Butcher Cover”. (This is NOT a paste-over or “second state” Butcher Cover.)

• The COVER, constructed of cardboard with cover slicks pasted on, was issued from Capitol Records’ Los Angeles Pressing Plant based on the number “6” printed at the lower right corner of the rear cover.

• The VINYL has an asterisk (*) in the trail-off which is the symbol Capitol Records used to identify vinyl pressed at its Los Angeles Pressing Plant.

• Therefore, this Los Angeles cover and Los Angeles vinyl are correctly matched/paired.

• NOTE: Some sellers may intentionally (or accidentally) switch vinyl and covers in order to create an LP with a higher-graded cover and vinyl combination, but NOT correctly matched to the same pressing plant. I don’t do that. This is the correct cover and vinyl for this pressing/issue.

• The COVER is in VERY STRONG VG+ CONDITION. Only some VERY LIGHT WEAR on the cover and some LIGHT aging/foxing on the edges and on the rear cover near the opening kept me from grading the cover Near Mint. There is NO WEAR AT ALL on the corners, the seams and the spine. There are 2 tiny pushes, one on the bottom left corner and the other on the top right corner. Naturally, with this grade, there are NO SEAM SPLITS, NO WRITING, NO TEARS, NO FLAKING and NO RING WEAR on this cover and confirmed by the images.

• As you probably know, the PRIMARILY WHITE COVER of the “Yesterday And Today” LP has always been very prone to show even the slightest bit of soiling and/or wear. It’s, therefore, become a difficult cover to find in CLEAN and WHITE CONDITION without wear, staining, or soiling.

• The VINYL is in NICE VG+ CONDITION with a few very light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none are “feel-able”) and the vinyl has LOTS of GLOSS.

• This LP was originally issued with the vinyl inside an ORANGE CAPITOL INNER SLEEVE which is also included in Near Mint Condition.

IT’S A VERY NICE VG+ COPY of this BEATLES STEREO LP to add to your vinyl collection!!!
