Description


For sale is a rare 1986 repressing/reissue of this classic compilation album with the famous Capitol U.S. Rainbow-edged black centre labels.
Although this repressing is marked as stereo on the sleeve, on the labels, and uses a Capitol stereo prefix (ST) for the matrices this pressing used the mono mix; not a 'fold down' Stereo, resulting from a production error. 
The actual US mono master from 1966 includes the 3 special "USA" mixes for tracks A2, A4 and B1 sent by George Martin/EMI at Capitol's request.
A new archival-type poly inner sleeve is used to protect the record, the original inner sleeve is missing.
Record cleaned ultra-sonically.
