Description
This is The Beatles "Yesterday and Today" ST 2553 with the number 2 to the left of the RIAA logo on the back. I am relisting this album as there was doubt about it being a second state butcher cover underneath. I stated in my original listing that research indicated that the number 2 next to the RIAA logo on the back side guaranteed that it was in fact a paste over. I was flooded with emails saying that was untrue. I did not want to tamper with the cover to prove my original stance. [The front cover picture is the original listing photo -now a very small portion of top and bottom left corners of paste over are unglued] This time around, I sparingly used light alcohol on the top and bottom left corners to peel just enough to see the gray underneath (see photo). I also used light alcohol beneath the title "Yesterday and Today" which you can faintly see the face and hair of Ringo (see photo). I hope this is enough proof; if not, please email me further questions and I will promptly answer them. As for the condition of the album: The bottom has splitting -about 50 percent. The left side: the title and artist name are intact, but there is some light paper splitting further down (not broken though). The top is good. I believe the stain on the front cover will be greatly reduced if you peel it (there are instructions on-line to properly perform this procedure, or you can have it professionally done). The drip mark below the stain is only topical- it could probably even be cleaned off the top cover. The original sleeve for the album is absent. The record itself plays great -hardly a pop or crackle. Please, if you have any other questions, just ask me. Thanks!!!
