Description
Hello from Brooks Novelty Antiques & Records in Old Sacramento California, where we are "Keeping the Dream Alive"!
Up for auction is an original "Third State" or peeled Yesterday and Today or "Butcher Cover" by the Beatles. This is the nicest one we've seen come through our record store! It's also the only Stereo version we've seen! Also has the original sleeve! RIAA #2 from the Scranton PA plant, printed by Imperial Paper Box Corp. in Brooklyn NY. Slick or "cover" has been professionally removed and the peeled "paste over" is included. (see photo)
Also Includes:
Certificate of Authenticity. Capitol Records recall notice. BEAT magazine article. DISC magazine article. Album cover and record come in an extra heavy duty mylar collectors sleeve.
I try to photograph and describe all the defects I can find. My hope is that the buyer will find the item in better condition than they expect. With that in mind the condition is as follows:
COVER: Overall it looks good. Upon close inspection... All corners a bit dog-eared. A bit of yellowing around edges. All edges are frayed a bit but are not split. Very few artifacts left from the peeling process.
RECORD: Overall plays beautifully. Professionally cleaned on my Nitty Gritty record cleaning machine. Several very light scratches which don't affect playback. 3 medium scuffs, only one of which is audible, and then only in the dead space between songs.
Free shipping only in the 48 contiguous states.
Will ship worldwide for actual cost of shipping.
Will be packed sealed in plastic, in a large hard box, and fully insured.
Thanks for looking and have a great day, and a great life!
