Description

Up for sale is an original 1966 U.S. Capitol mono pressing of The Beatles – Yesterday And Today, catalog T-2553.

This is the standard “trunk cover” version (not a butcher cover), featuring the iconic image of the band posed around the steamer trunk. A must-have for any Beatles collection. Great playable copy at an affordable price.

Condition Details (Please Review Carefully)

Vinyl (Record): VG
The record shows moderate surface marks and scuffs consistent with normal play and age. No deep scratches or warping observed. Playback is expected to include background noise typical for VG condition records. Vinyl cleaning, using the buyer's preferred method, is always recommended and may improve any background noise.
Original Capitol rainbow labels are present.

Cover (Sleeve): VG
The cover shows clear age-related wear including:

  • Edge wear and corner wear
  • Ring wear and creasing
  • Visible signature of the original owner on front and back covers (see photos)

Structurally intact with no major seam splits observed. Displays as a solid vintage copy but not a collector-grade sleeve.

Inner Sleeve: Original paper inner sleeve included, showing appropriate aging.

Pressing Notes

  • This is an original, genuine 1966 U.S. Capitol mono pressing (T-2553)

  • Side One: Drive My Car, I'm Only Sleeping, Nowhere Man, Dr. Robert, Yesterday, Act Naturally

  • Side Two: And Your Bird Can Sing, If I Needed Someone, We Can Work It Out, What Goes On?, Day Tripper

  • Early rainbow label variation

Grading & Transparency

Attempted to grade conservatively using Goldmine standards. All flaws, including writing on the cover, are clearly disclosed and shown in photos.
