Description
Here for your consideration is Black Bird Records solid attempt at giving you The Beatles shelved and “lost” album, Get Back with Don’t Let Me Down and 9 other songs. Taken from an official Apple Records acetate, this collection of songs allows the hard core Beatles listener to have an idea of what the finished album might have sounded like had it not been shelved and reemerged a year later as the classic Let it Be album. The record plays clear and the cover reproduces the original proposed artwork taken from the official Apple printing proof. Several newspaper ads of the day actually show this covers artwork as it appears here. The condition of the vinyl is sound and plays clean except for some background noise lasting around 25 seconds during side 2 track 1 “For You Blue” but it passes. The only other condition issue is found on the rear/top/center of the album cover ABOVE all the graphics in the white area. I’ll describe it as a wear/rub. Please fan out the provided photos to see it. Luckily it doesn’t effect any of the artwork. The remainder of the cover is tight and sound. No splits anywhere with plenty of gloss and very little wear (thankfully). A very good job done here in its production and presentation. Thanks Black Bird
Selling my personal collection accrued over 5 decades. Will be listing a few auctions a week. Many very rare BEATLES and related items among other artists. Please check in from time to time if you are a completist like me.
The small print: Unfortunately I’ve been getting winning bidders who have no intention of paying for their won items. I must request that payment be made within 48 hours of the auction ending or at least send a simple and brief note letting me know that your payment will be made when able. I’m very flexible in that regard and I just want to know I have a sincere winner. Thank you for your understanding.
