THE BEATLES - 'THE BEATLES'
1965 EAST GERMAN 1st PRESSING LP
This rare LP comes from an outstanding collection of original worldwide rarities which I have the pleasure to list this week. Please take a look at my shop to see more discs from this collection.
Released in April 1965 the was the first & only officially released LP in East Germany (GDR)
It contains mono versions of tracks dating from 1962-64 and is on the red & white AMIGA label: 8 50 040
The disc is housed within its original unlaminated semi-gloss colour cover.

Clean, bright & unblemished with just a few faint spindle trails around each centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT
Both playing surfaces are extremely clean, glossy and unworn in strong daylight with no surface marks ro scratches to be seen. Close examination directly beneath my powerful halogen desk lamp reveal only insignificant wispy paper hairlines from inner-sleeve removal but no additional marks or wear. This extremely heavy copy lies 100% flat when playing, with no dishing or warping.
Play: EXCELLENT
Unlike most copies of this album, this has been barely played and no groove/play wear is present on any track. A little light background is audible between tracks, but this is more down to the quality of the vinyl itself rather than from play.
Cover
EXCELLENT
An extremely clean & unworn example which retains vivid, unfaded panels with no storage rubbing or handling wear. The corners are all square and unsplit and the opening edges are completely unworn. There is a little shelfwear to the lower seam but no splits or damage here or on the spine.
