Description
In this auction is 1 original Beatles 45 RPM PROMO RECORD.
Here are the details:
· “MY BONNIE” b/w “THE SAINTS (When The Saints Go Marching In)” by The Beatles With Tony Sheridan
· This is a PROMOTIONAL SINGLE 7-INCH RECORD issued by MGM Records.
· This is MGM Records K13213.
· The YELLOW PROMOTIONAL LABELS have the printing “SPECIAL DISC JOCKEY RECORD” and “NOT FOR SALE” printed on them.
· As you may know, 45 RPM PROMO RECORDS were pressed in very limited quantities and released by record companies ONLY to the radio stations and DJs for airplay to promote the artist and new song/LP. They were NOT released or made available for sale to the general public.
· The labels have the artists as “THE BEATLES WITH TONY SHERIDAN”
· This record was issued in January, 1964.
· The VINYL is in STRONG VG CONDITION with some light/slight surface hairlines/scuffs (none of them “feel-able”). The YELLOW PROMO LABELS are MOSTLY CLEAN except for some minor DJ’s writing on “The Saints” label. The Labels have NO stickers, NO sticker stains, and NO tears.
· The MGM-issued Beatles PROMO RECORDS have become tough ones to find these days. This is one of only two MGM-issued Beatles promo records. (The other is “Why” b/w “Cry For A Shadow”.)
· This Promo Record comes in what I believe is the correct MGM Records stock paper sleeve.
AN UNCOMMON BEATLES PROMO RECORD THAT SHOULD NOT BE MISSING FROM ANY BEATLES’ VINYL COLLECTION!!
