This is a very rare and early copy of Abbey Road. The front cover says EMI Apple with the very rare "full dimensional stereo playable Also as Mono" symbol on the top right and PCS 7088. The cover is the UK press style shiny, thin onion layer style. there is no sign of the sewer cover on the front, but it is partially present on rear of the reverse fold.
The back cover has an aligned apple logo but NO reference to "Her Majesty". it says PCS 7088 in the upper right has "An EMI recording. Thanks to George Martin, Geoff Emerick and Phillip McDonald Photographs by Lain Macmillan" in the bottom left. under that there is black ink that said something but was melted/smeared in the lamination process and I can not make it out.
The label looks like a U.K.press from 1969 but has some oddities. There are no publishing credits listed after any of the titles, only writers credits. Above the spindle hole it says,

to the left of the hole, it says
STEREO & MONO
An E.M.I.Recording
To the right of the hole it says
PCS 7088
(YEX 749)
there is a "P" in a square and then it says 1969
side 2 shows track 10 as:
10. ENDING - HER MAJESTY

side 2 = YEX-750-1
Vinyl : 184 grams VG has many light faint marks but plays fine. (it traveled across the ocean in a backback 45 years ago)
Cover : VG-
Insert : plain paper
This is very rare and I have spent hours and hours trying to narrow it down without success. I have many, many years of Vinyl Collecting experience and have owned 30 copies of this record at least, this is a first for me. The lady I bought it from was at Woodstock in 1969 and traveled around the world following Sun-Ra and The Grateful Dead as well as other bands between 1968 and 1973, from England all across Europe, the middle East and Asia. She said she used to bring records home in her Backpack quite often. It looks very similar to a first U.K. press but with very rare idiosyncrasies.

Grading:
I use the Goldmine Grading System
"P" "G" "VG" "NM" "MINT" with "+" and "-" to add precision.
"MINT" only exists if record is sealed and still perfect.
"VG+" is a really nice record with only a few issues.
