ITEM
THE BEATLES - SGT.PEPPERS LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND - LP**RARE MONO**
*UK PARLOPHONE PMC 7027-Yellow & Black Labels*
**MISPRESSED SIDE 2 LABEL, OMITS "A DAY IN THE LIFE"**
Original UK pressing on the Yellow & Black Parlophone Label, This is a RARE MONO with an even RARER MIS-PRESSED Label, You can see on the scans that the track "A Day In The Life" was missed of the track listing, it should be the last track on side 2, It still plays the track but is not credited on the Original Parlophone Labels. This issue is from 1967 as the label states, but was a very very short lived issue, as soon as the mistake was noticed they were all changed making this one of the few that got away, The RAREST and most sought after UK Issue of Sgt.Pepper.
CONDITION
SLEEVE The Original Gatefold Laminated Sleeve is made by "Garrod & Lofthouse" and has the original cut out insert which is in MINT- condition. The Sleeve only lists the MONO catalouge number, Not like the later ones which listed both MONO & STEREO. It Has A little wear but overall is Graded at EXCELLENT if not better.
LABELS Both of the Original YELLOW & BLACK *MONO* Parlophone Labels have THE GRAMAPHONE Credit around the rim, And have "Sold in the UK Subject To resale price conditions, See Price Lists" and have (p) 1967 and of course "Made In Gt.Britain" **This is the extremely rare issue with NO CREDIT for "A DAY IN THE LIFE" on the SIDE 2 Label. Only issued for a few days, If not on one day only.
INNER SLEEVE The Original Plain White Inner Sleeve is also in MINT- Condition, with the "Patents Applied For Credit"
RECORD The Original UK MONO Pressing record is in at least VERY GOOD Condition but to be honest it plays closer to EXCELLENT , The LP still has a gloss to the surface but has gone a little dull with age and has a few surface scuffs and a little surface noise, nothing serious. Mainley from removing the LP out of the inner sleeve, The LP still looks nice and plays even better i would say easy an EXCELLENT player probably a little better, but visually somewhere around VERY GOOD.**But Remember This is RARE because of the label error.
