Description
The Beatles
"Self Titled"
A Near Mint Audiophile Album
The Beatles aka "The White Album", this fine collection of mid 1968 music history was pressed on 100% memory free 200 gram virgin vinyl from the master tapes and released in 1982 as a limited edition by The Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab Co. # MFSL 2 - 072.The album features crisp clean white labels with sharp black & gold print and, each vinyl is in High Gloss Brilliant condition too with no scuffs, scratches or marks of any kind but, both lp's are ever-so-slightly warped, however, it does not affect the playback or sound quality in any way, both disc's play absolutely perfect, to check the quality I played the complete album only once on a vintage Technics SL-5 turntable without a center weight and the stylus weight set at it's lighest setting, again, both vinyls play perfect.
The Mofi pressing was not numbered on the front cover and does not have the poster or photos that the original 1968 Apple lp contained. The mofi edition does come with two heavy stock custom lyric inserts that fold over each record along with the original anti-static liners to help combat dust and static build up.
The brite white gatefold cover is as near to mint as your going to find with no dis-coloring or ring wear, no splits, stains or fingerprints, the spine & seams are tight and the spine print is complete as well, plus the lp comes in a crystal clear Japanese zip strip baggie for extra added protection, the cover does have one lightly bumped bottom spine corner tip, but it's just the very tip. The sound quality, as I stated before, is truly deluxe with little to no surface noise at all and no loss in sound quality either, in all honesty....this 2lp set would be welcome in any high end vinyl collection, you would really be hard pressed to find better!
Please, check out the photos & thanks so much for looking!
