Description

Welcome....This is an original 1970 stereo Columbia/EMI Records pressing of "The Best Of The Pink Floyd", catalog # 5C054-04299.

This record was manufactured in Holland/Denmark and has the glossy laminated cover but this copy has mega rare red Columbia labels! Most have black labels.

The cover is very solid and clean. Seams and spine are in perfect condition and the spine print is perfectly readable. You can see in the pictures, the logo at the top of the front & back cover, have "Odeon" stickers covering up the bottom of the black box which normally has the "Columbia" logo.
There is some writing on the back cover (very small) and there is some scotch tape right next to it. It looks like somebody taped the cover so the record would not come out of the sleeve. The tape residue shows a little bit on the front cover as well.

The vinyl is in amazing pristine condition showing a few almost invisible paper sleeve marks in the trail off area only. The record looks new, but it was played when I purchased it. I recorded it onto open reel tape about 6 years ago. It's has been stored with my other records in a climate controlled storage unit ever since. I played the tape before listing it on eBay and found that it sounds amazing with a small amount of background noise in between tracks.
NOTE: There are 3 or 4 tracks on the album that seem to be mono tracks that have been reprocessed for stereo.
This LP has the rare red Columbia labels instead of the common black. (possibly purchased in Holland 1st hand, not imported?) They are in perfect condition except that the side 1 label has the same small writing as on the back cover. (See Pictures). Original plain white inner sleeve is included in excellent condition.

Buyer pays shipping cost. USA bidders only. Payments by Paypal only and are due within 2 days of auctions end.
