Description

This auction is for the rare Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs / Original Master Recording pressing of "The Blues A Real Summit Meeting - Recorded Live @ Newport In New York" released on Buddah Records with the Cat # MFSL 518 - This record is half speed mastered and pressed in Japan for audiophile quality! The vinyl is in Excellent to NM- condition with a conservative grading at EX. It looks to be nearly unplayed. The Jacket is also in excellent condition but I graded it conservatively at VG+ because of some light shelf wear.

Classic live cuts from Muddy Waters, Clarence Brown, B.B. King, Lloyd Glenn, Big Mama Thornton, Jay McShann, Eddie Cleanhead Vinson and Arthur Crudup!

Goldmine Grading System:

  • SS  Still Sealed
  • M  Mint - Perfect in all ways.
  • M- Mint Minus - Near perfect, most likely and unplayed record
  • VG+  Very Good Plus - Very close to like new with only superficial signs of use that do not affect playability. Only records stored and used with care will grade out to VG+.
  • VG Very Good - A used, reasonable copy that plays. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of some light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages, but still nice and playable.
  • VG- Very Good Minus - A record with significant wear and marks. Records graded VG-usually have some noticeable surface noise.
  • G+ Good Plus. 'Good' means pretty beat up. From here on down (Fair, Poor), we're talking about extremely beat up records.
