The Brian Jonestown Massacre LP And This Is Our Music / Original Pressing
Rare original LP on TeePee records from 2003, TPE052. Item is in excellent condition. Rare early edition with black vinyl and blue labels. Gatefold sleeve and still has original shrink and sticker over the sleeve. It's futile to try to attempt to describe a Brian Jonestown Massacre album. One doesn't so much listen to their music as experience it, entering into their strange, warped world to wallow in the aural vistas they create. Like a '60s 'happening', it's not what actually occurs that matters, it's the experience itself, the fact of one being part of something greater than one's self, and so it is here with And This Is Our Music. "Keep dreaming, keep dreaming, until it's time to go," BJM sing on "Geezers," and the music builds, swelling into a mighty conflagration of sound that stutters out and into the acoustical love song of "Maryanne," which winds its way into the Star Trek-esque epic romance of "You Look Great When I'm F---ed Up," that comes down with a bang into the psychedelic jangle of "Here It Comes," then falls headlong into the wild tattoo of the beats and salsa sounds of "What Did You Say?" and so on, careening across 17 tracks in all.... Tracks 1 The Wrong Way 0:22, 2 Introesque 1:00, 3 Starcleaner Tow 2:28, 4 Here to Go 5:15, 5 When Jokers Attack Newcombe 3:42, 6 Prozac vs. Heroin Newcombe 3:58, 7 Geezers 5:18, 8 Maryanne 2:05, 9 You Look Great When I'm F---ed Up 6:50, 10 Here It Comes Brian Jonestown Massacre ... 3:14, 11 What Did You Say? 0:44, 12 Prozac vs. Heroin Revisited 4:36, 13 A New Low in Getting High 3:41, 14 Somethings Go Without Saying 2:25, 15 Tschusse 4:37,16 The Pregnancy Test 2:18, 17 The Right Way 0:47
