Story Behind Me Finding This Record Last month was my birthday, so I decided to drive to Brooklyn from my house to check out this record collection. Long story short I bought 700 LP's sight unseen over the phone (not a good idea). When I arrived, much to my dismay, all that was there was 90% classical music. I ended up donating close to 99% of the collection to my local thrift store.

This record was one of about 15 I kept. I'm a big Fania fan, but wasn't too hip to the Salsa label or The Brooklyn Sounds. Needless to say, this record hits hard with all of the Nuyorican expressiveness found on other salsa records from the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The guy's house who I pulled this from collected a bunch of obscure stuff, so I have no doubt that it is an original pressing. The big give away is the record weight (180s grams I'm guessing) and the brown cardboard used for the jacket. The picture is in focus, unlike some of the "reissues" coming out of other places, mainly South America.

Record Condition: VG/VG+. I would grade Side 1 as VG+ with some storage marks but not many scratches or paper scuffs. Side 2 is more on the higher VG side with some storage marks, only a few more than side 1.
I play tested most of the LP and it plays with minimal noise. Sounded pretty good on my deck. "Soy Libre" was knocking hard. Side 2 label has some sort of small stain on it.

Jacket Condition: 2" seam split bottom right hand corner (see photo). Seams otherwise are in good shape.
