Description

  • This is the original 1977 New Hormones release.  A true piece of music history not just punk history.  This changed everything.  The Buzzcocks doing it for themselves!

    • Points to look for:- 

  • No “With HOWARD DEVOTO” under the band name on the front cover.
  • Delga printed on the back left hand seam.
  • The label address is printed at the bottom of the back cover.
    The record itself has a moulded plastic label.
    Most of the information is stamped into the runout area (as opposed to inscribed).

  • Matrix / Runout Side A, Etched): EAT THE BEAT
  • Matrix / Runout Side B, Stamped): ORG 001 B // 1 ? 420 04 1 1

    • Please take time to look at the photographs.  They form part of the description.

    The vinyl looks in good condition but as I no longer have a record player I cannot vouch for the sound.  As with most eps the sound was never brilliant due to the closeness of the grooves.  This usually gives a rather high, tinny sound.

    The sleeve shows signs of wear and yellowing.  There are some small tears at the top, ring wear, creases and marks. There is a two inch split in the bottom where the record has come through.  Even so it still looks fantastic. Again please check the photographs for what you are getting.

    Just a great record and I shall be sorry to see it go but hopefully somebody can get as much enjoyment out of it as I've had.
