THE BYRDS, So You Want To Be A Rock 'n' Roll Star/Everybody's Been Burned (CBS 2559, SWEDEN 1967, MONO)
PLEASE NOTE: this is the RAREST Byrd's european picture sleeve EVER.
The terrific UNIQUE/EXCLUSIVE photo was taken at the Stockholm airport on march 1st, 1967, at the beginning of a brief Swedish tour. During that tour THE BYRDS recorded a famous TV special
Sleeve is OPEN, as for any CBS scandinavian picture sleeve from the era. It is in strong EX conditions. On one side the previous owner has written the band's names upon their faces (see the pic).
Vinyl is VG, with several light marks. Plays fine with some light background noise.
Labels are beautiful.
Together with the 45 comes a GLOSSY BEAUTIFUL PROMO PHOTO in EXCELLENT/NEAR MINT CONDITIONS. THIS PIC HAS BEEN TAKEN THE SAME DAY OF THAT ON THE SINGLE SLEEVE. NEVER SEEN PUBLISHED ANYWHERE!
SIZE 21.5 x 16.5 CM = 8.56 x 6.60 INCHES
FROM THE SWEDISH ENTERTAINEMENT JOURNALIST HANS SIDEN's ARCHIVE.
Dated 67/03/01 on the promo text sheet. The text reads, translated in english:
The pop band Byrds from America's West Coast came to Stockholm yesterday, directly from London and a birthday party at beatle George Harrison's home. Their first question, on Sweden' soil, was: "You do have flying saucers here?"... etc.
