Description

I have a number of other collectable vinyl LPs listed - 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. So please take a minute to see seller's other items to see if there's anything else you're looking for. Most listings are buy it now (or best offer) and priced to sell.

I will happily combine/refund postage for you if you buy more than one record. I can ship up to eight LPs for total postage of £3. I will use record mailers with stiffeners or boxes to pack the records depending on the quantity.

This listing: The Charlatans - The Charlatans (1995 Beggar's Banquet records double-LP)

Their eponymous fourth album. Great album that amongst other things has "Here Comes a Soul Saver" with its use of the Pink Floyd "Fearless" riff. It also has the band at their most Rolling Stones-esque in places such as "Just When You're Thinking Things Over"
This is a vinyl first pressing from 1995. Beggar's Banquet BBQLP 174. Runout grooves are as follows:

  • Matrix / Runout (Side A): BBQLP 174A1 DAMONT FIRST SHAG IN AGES
  • Matrix / Runout (Side B): BBQLP 174B1 DAMONT FIRST SHAG IN AGES
  • Matrix / Runout (Side C): BBQLP 174C1 DAMONT FIRST SHAG IN AGES
  • Matrix / Runout (Side D): BBQLP 174D1 DAMONT FIRST SHAG IN AGES

  • (yes the runout grooves really do say that - 'First Shag in Ages' was going to be the LP title at one point)

Condition: Vinyl VG. This is because, despite still having that like-new sheen, the vinyl on sides A, C and D does have noticeable surface marks. However, I have play tested what looks like the worst of them and they do not greatly affect sound quality. Side B is EX. The sleeve is EX-/VG+. It has a little edgewear. The white inner sleeves with printed lyrics are present and correct, but have some marks and a little of what in book collecting terms is known as foxing.
Actual item pictured - no stock photos here.
Bravely listing this one as 99p start. No reserve auction.

Low postage. 100% feedback seller. Buy with confidence. (Update: I've recently received my first negative feedback of my over 10 years of selling on ebay, but it is completely unwarranted from someone who clearly didn't read the description on his 99p purchase!! Grr. Please disregard it. I do describe things accurately and bend over backwards to please buyers as all my other 1000+ feedbacks attest.)

Any questions, please ask.
