Artist:   The CRICKETS

Title: "THE CHIRPING CRICKETS"

Date Released:  1958

Country Of Release:  Australia

Label:  Brunswick (distributed here by Festival Records)

Catalogue Number:   BL-8001

======================================

Cover is unique to Australia. Not only the front, but the back too - it has liner notes written by each of the four members wherein all of them reference their just-completed Australian tour.

Matte flip-back cover.

Cover has corner snips in the top & bottom right corners. It also has creases and ringwear, a small tear on the opening edge, and some staining on the back (see pix, for all of these).

Vinyl has a lot of marks but nothing heavy...and it plays through VERY well (has some crackles admittedly), but it's a great LOUD 'cut', and it's still an excellent listen. No jumps, no skips, doesn't 'stick' anywhere. It's still a worthwhile 'own'.

CONDITION:

OK…I use the following gradings (in descending order, from pristine down):

MINT, M-, EX (EX = most people's NM), EX-, VG++, VG+, VG, VG-, G+, G  ...there should be very few of the last 2...if any...(for they would be deemed unworthy).

Cover:  VG- ......

Vinyl:  VG- ...plays LOUD...

Labels - Side 1:  EX  ......  Side 2:   M-  ...no writing...no tears...just some spindle trails only...

If you have any concerns about the accuracy of my gradings, please check my feedback for the odd nice comment from some satisfied folk out there.... (and hopefully you may be able to join their ranks).
