Description
Lovely original single sided studio/publishers Emidisc single sided acetate of this lovely UK 1960s girl pop classic, and Northern Soul spin by the iconic The Chantelles. The acetate is likely the producer' studio or publisher's acetate for the release. The record was released by Parlophone on R5303 (I am also listing a demo version shortly).
The acetate is double sided and has the A side - The Secret(s) of My Success (note the text has been corrected to strike the additional s in secret(s)). and B side - Sticks and Stones. Has date 16 July (recording or release date?) written on A side. Much rarer than demos. As with all acetates a direct cut in studio so probably only 4-5 were made.
Despite fragility of acetate this is a lovely copy. Very good condition at least. Light evidence of play but a fair few light scuffs and scratches from sleeve removal and handling visible in strong light. Nothing serious in relation to play. Plays and nice clean and loud sound but with some surface noise. In an original Parlophone sleeve from the period which is excellent.
Offered at a sensible BIN given the rarity and demand for this record in any condition.
Dispatched in proper record mailer with card insert by Royal Mail 2nd Class signed for large letter.
