Here is a rare vintage original album, the "holy grail", Buddy Holly’s first album. Released in 1957 by Brunswick Records, BL 54038 (mono). The rear of the cover has a misprint in the liner notes misspelling Lubbock Texas as "Bullock" Texas. The rigid record is personalized by original owner. The record has been "play tested" from start to finish with very good sound quality, with no skips. The music really comes through great. The album cover shows some wear with some stains. The top of the cover is split. The cover has been personalized by the original owner on the rear side. Overall the cover is rated good. A copy of this album described as, "the sleeve is in VG-EX 6 condition (with discoloration and minor tearing) and the disc is in EX 7.5 condition" sold on March 12, 2022 by Haritage Auctions for $1,000.00. It's a 65-year-old album. The split in the cover can be easily repaired and the magic marker spots can be removed. The record is clean with little if any scratches. Certainly, none that affect the quality of the play. It's a mono album and I played it and enjoyed it many times. The sound is nostalgic and good quality with no skips. In addition to the slip cover the album is in an archival quality sleeve. I rated the album VG expecting the new owner to be pleasantly surprised with the album's actual condition and sound.
