Description

The Clash were an English punk rock band formed in 1976 as part of the original wave of British punk.  The Clash had a rebellious attitude, their music insisted on addressing the conditions of poverty, petty injustice, and mundane life experienced by the people who bought their records.  For most of their recording career The Clash consisted of Joe Strummer (vocals, rhythm guitar),  Mick Jones (lead guitar, lead vocals),  Paul Simonon (bass),  and Nicky 'Topper' Headon (drums).  Rolling Stones Magazine ranked The Clash  #28  on their list of the  100 Greatest Albums of All Time.  London Calling is their third studio album, with the album songs generally about London and feature both fictional and life-based characters.  The album cover is in excellent condition featuring a photo of Paul Simonon smashing his Fender Precision Bass against the stage in 1979 at the Palladium in New York City.  Both of the LP's are in excellent condition and come in the original inner sleeves.  I find it a bit odd not having a gatefold cover for the double LP set, oh well...   Epic Records,  #E 36329,  STEREO.  Thank you for looking.
