Description
The Clash “London Calling” b/w “Armegideon Time”. This is the very rare original Japanese issue 7” Single with an exclusive double-sided picture print + Epic/Sony Logo die-cut sleeve. 1979 Epic Records 06 5P-85. Made in Japan. Out of print.
PICTURE PRINT: This original Japanese pressing was issued not with a traditional picture sleeve where the vinyl is housed, but rather, it is a double-sided print. The back side has lyrics in English, credits, and some liner notes in Japanese. It is of very delicate construction (really thin, fragile paper) and these were very easily damaged beyond repair. However, here is a copy that is in very nice condition. No rips, tears or creases. Nice sharp corners. If you were to tilt the cover at just the right angle against bright light, some very minor “wrinkling” marks become barely noticeable. Along the top edge, There is a small, slight rough portion along the top edge that appear to be slightly differnt shade of black than the print color. The back cover has some dark spots along the top edge. See last pic collage.
VINYL: Has a deep, rich, silky and mirror-like sheen. When I tilt the vinyl at an angle against direct sunlight and scrutinize it very intensely, I can detect vey faint wispy hairline marks. These marks are otherwise very difficult to see under normal room light. See pics.
