Description
The Clash Rare 1980 Ltd Edition LP "Clash In Hamburg" 20th May
From my own collection.
Germany LP 1980 (white label - CL-HH1). The original pressing not the later 1988 one
This was recorded live at Markthalle, in Hamburg, Germany, May 20th, 1980. There is absolutely no information on the record cover - the back is plain white and the vinyl disc has plain white labels on each side.
My second photo shows the insert which came with it. It is a montage of newspaper cuttings from German newspapers. The show turned into a riot. There is a typed paragraph which reads: ACHTUNG! Dies ist eine schwarz pressung.......
I have lifted the following information from http://mondo-de-muebles.blogspot.co.uk/2008/10/clash-hamburg-riot-80.html
This is the infamous riot show where there was mayhem in the audience and on the stage, riot police battling with fans outside, and Joe was arrested for seriously assaulting a ‘fan’ with his guitar. His actions shocked Joe, and had a lasting personal impact on him.
He would raise the incident in a number of interviews there after. Joe said, “I nearly murdered somebody, and it made me realise that you can’t face violence with violence. It doesn’t work”.
I bought it in the early 80's, played it once and recorded it and then stowed it away.
There are no track listings and if I play it again it won't be as mint as it was!! So thank you very much to www.punkygibbon.co.uk for the following info:

After various problems with things I have bought on Ebay, and elsewhere, disappearing in the post, I send items out by 2nd class Recorded/Signed For to UK addresses and by Airsure to international destinations which are listed on the Royal Mail's website. This means that international postage can be very costly. See below.
If you live in the Canterbury/Herne Bay area you are welcome to collect or I could possibly deliver to a convenient venue.

Please note: PAYPAL only. I will post out as soon as possible after payment is received and will email once the item is despatched.
