Description
The Clash Singles - Box set of eight 7" singles
Rare box set of the first eight 7" singles by the Clash, released by Epic/CBS/Sony in Japan in 1979 and available, in small numbers, as an import in the UK. The A- and B- sides and the picture sleeve artwork is the same as the UK singles releases; however, all have catalog numbers specific to the box set - the labels are marked "Record 1", "Record 2", etc. as well as the Epic catalog nos. Two inserts with lyrics (in English and Japanese) are included.
- White Riot/1977 (44-5P-103)
- Remote Control/London's Burning (live) (44-5P-104)
- Complete Control/City Of The Dead (44-5P-105)
- Clash City Rockers/Jail Guitar Doors (44-5P-106)
- (White Man) In Hammersmith Palais/The Prisoner (44-5P-107)
- Tommy Gun/1-2 Crush On You (44-5P-108)
- English Civil War/Pressure Drop (44-5P-109)
- London Calling/Armagideon Time (44-5P-110)
The set is in very good condition, the singles themselves having been played only a few times since purchase (and not at all for the last 20 years!). There is some very minor scuff marking to the box and to a couple of the picture sleeves.
