Description
This is the extremely rare doo wop 45 "Too Old To Cry"/"My Tears Start To Fall" on Honey Bee Records. No one seems to know the year it was recorded. Another mystery is that there is no record number on the label. The are matrix numbers- HBX 1631 and HBX 1632, if I am reading them correctly.
The "Too Old To Cry" side is missing its label. The "My Tears Start To Fall" side has its label and I have included a photo of both sides here.
I have shown this 45 to group sound/ doo wop collectors and they agree that it appears to be at least VG+. Playing it, I would grade it as VG++. The sound is very dynamic and strong with no flaws as it plays.
The price guides have this record as $1500- $2000. I was told that a VG+ copy sold not too long a go for about $770.
Because a label is missing, I have this listed at $599.95 Buy It Now. I think that is fair for a record this rare and in this nice condition.
There just haven't been that many copies for sale in recent years. Here is a great copy at a great price!
